The festival was founded by Rulé Ernst, a passionate wine enthusiast with a deep knowledge of South African wines and a bold vision: to create an experience that brings together the refinement of wine with the richness of beautifully prepared venison. Her belief that venison is one of the most underrated meats for food-and-wine pairings sparked the heart of this event - and it has continued to inspire every edition since.
